Propelled by four early unanswered runs and efficient starting pitching, the Mud Hens defeated Iowa, 6-2, to split a six-game series on Sunday. Toledo (42-44) generated its opening three runs in the first inning and added another in the fourth. That was aided by five scoreless innings from starting pitcher Dylan File, who surrendered one hit and struck out six batters. In a three-run first inning, scoring started on a Max Anderson double down the third base line, bringing in Max Clark.
