GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — With the recent winter weather, several schools districts have reached the number of snow days allowed by the state. Many districts were just trying to make it to the weekend without having to cancel more classes. Districts are only allowed to cancel school six times per year due to weather or other emergencies. After that, they can apply for a state waiver that gives them three additional days.
