What was your first job as a journalist?

Arts editor at my student newspaper, if you count that. (I do). If not, then an investigative reporting internship at GBH News in Boston.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

No – life long dream!

Peter Parker

Why did you become a journalist?

Journalism is an act of community -- it's my way of showing the world that I love and appreciate it.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I didn't work for my high school paper, but I was managing editor of my college newspaper.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Bar trivia, watching a movie, or on a run.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

The New Yorker, without question.
