Russell Wilson’s last season ended with him watching. He signed a one-year deal with the Giants expecting to start, was benched three games in for a rookie, Jaxson Dart, and retired on June 3 after 14 seasons. He’s 37, a Super Bowl champion and a 10-time Pro Bowler, and that was the finish.

Abstract This essay is a reflection on a history course called “Exploration, Adventure, and Science in America” that the author teaches at the university level. It focuses on five main themes that structure the class: interrogating the meaning of exploration; balancing continuity and change; centering diverse actors and places; tying exploration to knowledge production; and using exploration to reimagine American history.

Mel Gibson’s long-awaited follow-up to The Passion of the Christ is going to take a little longer to rise. Gibson released a first-look image of The Resurrection of the Christ and announced that the project, which is being released as two separate films, has officially been pushed back a year. Part One is now set to hit theaters on Good Friday, April 14, 2028, while Part Two will follow on Ascension Day, May 25, 2028. The films had previously been dated for Good Friday and Ascension Day in 2027.
