Nearly three in four independent artists made less than $1,000 from their music last year, according to a new report published by Ditto Music. The Liverpool-based distributor surveyed 5,039 independent artists across 112 countries for its ‘Independent Music Report 2026,’ with the US, UK and South Africa representing the largest respondent markets. The findings suggest the tools of independence have outpaced its economics.

HUGEL is requesting another review of ‘Movin’ To The Sun’ after being notified that the track was removed from Grammy consideration over concerns about artificial intelligence, according to a statement shared with EDM.com.
