Right as Dr. Oz mentions sleep, Donald Trump falls asleep on live TV (video)
As Dr. Mehmet Oz stood in the Oval Office talking about dementia, obesity, and sleep, the addled, larger-than-a-baby Donald Trump could be seen napping soundly in his padded leather seat. (See video below, posted by Gov. Gavin Newsom's @GovPressOffice account.) "People can sleep again, because they can breathe when they go to bed," Dr. Oz said on the topic of weight loss drugs, just as Don Snorleone, nearly 80, snoozed away, surrounded by a dozen or so people in the room.
Trump wigs out with 5 panic-posts after last night's big election losses
Donald Trump couldn't hide his anguish over MAGA's sweeping election losses last night, lashing out with a set of five panic-posts on Truth Social hours after the results rolled in.
Trump's popularity falls to worst numbers yet, says new CNN poll
Donald Trump just slipped to new lows in popularity, with an approval rating of only 37%, according to a poll released today by CNN/SSRS. "Approval of the president has dipped across partisan and demographic lines since the summer in CNN's polling," the outlet reports. The only time Trump was ever this unpopular was around the same time during his first term when his approval rating dropped to 36%. His disapproval rating, however, has hit its all-time high at 63%.
Trump Labor Dept promotes Aryan workforce in creepy Nazi-style ad campaign
Calling all white Christian men: The Trump regime "NEEDS YOU!" to "Build America's future!" and "Restore the American dream." If you're anything other than a Caucasian young buck, however, you're out of luck. Only freshly scrubbed white dudes are featured as real workers in the U.S Department of Labor's months-long "Blue Collar Boom" ad campaign, which uses Nazi-like propaganda posters on Instagram and X to promise prosperous days ahead.
Yes, protesting does make a difference! Here's how
This Saturday, 2,000 protests will pop up all across America as part of another No Kings Day. Millions and millions of antifascist patriots who object to U.S. authoritarianism are expected to attend. And for anyone still on the fence — anyone who opposes a U.S. dictatorship but doesn't see how protesting does any good — Mark Frauenfelder and I spoke to activist Carlos Alvarez-Aranyos, who launched the first nationwide anti-king demonstration last February.
Authoritarian Trump loses peace prize to antifascist
Just because Donald Trump can dupe half of the United States into thinking he's a hero doesn't mean his parlor tricks extend to the rest of the world. Case in point: Trump did not win his coveted Nobel Peace Prize. Instead, it went to Venezuela's antifascist politician, María Corina Machado.
Rutgers professor flees to Spain after death threats over anti-fascism comments
A history teacher at Rutgers University has been chased not only out of town, but out of the United States by a blood-thirsty MAGA mob after he dared to talk about anti-fascism to the press. Mark Bray, author of Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook (2017), began teaching as an assistant professor at the university in 2019, but abruptly fled to Spain with his family this week after he was pummeled with death threats and accused of leading "antifa" by indoctrinated Trump fans.
Sen. Cory Booker lays into FBI's Kash Patel: "I'm not afraid of you!" (video)
As FBI bungler Kash Patel sat for questioning before Sen. Cory Booker at this morning's oversight hearing, all hell broke loose. Apparently, the Democratic senator hit a sore spot when he told Patel that Trump was "not loyal to people like you." Oof.
Just how horrifying was Mussolini? New series about world's first fascist leader starts today (video)
Last week, my local movie theater ran the first two episodes of the new limited television series, Mussolini: Son of the Century, and with all the recent fear about fascism threatening global democracy, it couldn't have come at a better time. It is, unsurprisingly, violent and gritty, highlighting Benito Mussolini's rise to power that began in the year 1919, when he founded the National Fascist Party in Italy.
Surprise! Flashmob stuns crowd on Paris street with awesome version of Bohemian Rhapsody (video)
What better way to break up an already glorious looking day in Paris than with a surprise flashmob performance of Bohemian Rhapsody? As crowds were sitting at cafes and strolling the streets of the Latin Quarter yesterday afternoon, three women suddenly appeared in a window over a brasserie: Is this the real life?
Travel under Trump 2.0: Don’t cross a U.S. border without a “perfect burner phone”
More and more people — both Americans and non-U.S. citizens — are thinking twice before traveling into the United States with their phones. And for good reason. Under Trump 2.0, phone searches at the U.S. border have surged, and Customs and Border Protection agents are targeting everyone from liberal protestors and lawyers who represent said protestors to journalists and basically anyone else who doesn't praise Dear Leader. No matter who you are, if CBP wants to confiscate your phone, they can.

Hegseth watches US bomb 11 people in boat: "It's a new day" (video)
Pentagon jester Pete Hegseth watched video of the U.S. bombing a boat suspected of carrying 11 drug traffickers and told Fox News the footage was absolutely real. "I can tell you that was definitely not artificial intelligence," he confirmed. "I watched it live…those drug traffickers are no longer with us." In Trump 2.0, there is no longer any need for investigations, interrogations, or trials.
Passengers told to pee in a bottle on Virgin Australia flight to Bali
Passengers flying from Brisbane to Bali were told to aim into a bottle after the toilets broke down on a Virgin Australia flight. Naturally, it raised quite a stink. The Boeing 737 MAX 8 was already down one bathroom when passengers first boarded Flight VA50 yesterday afternoon, but the airline decided the (sh*)show must go on, and so it did, with the remaining two toilets breaking down mid-flight.

Missouri farmer to congressman's face: "Take your head out of Trump's ass"
A Missouri farmer told Congressman Mark Alford exactly what every other hard-working American is thinking right about now: "I am pissed…You need to take your head out of Trump's ass." The heated voter, Fred Higginbotham, was one of many unhappy folks who showed up at a town hall on Monday. And he didn't mince words. "I am pissed, and I am pissed at you," he began. "Get Trump out of office! The man is a dictator. He knows nothing about what he talks about." "I'm about to lose my farm. Do you know why?
U.S. will grab stakes in more companies, admits Trump advisor (video)
So much for the GOP's "free market." Just days after the U.S. government took a 10% stake in Intel, Donald Trump's economic advisor Kevin Hassett revealed that more companies can expect the same. "Yes, that's absolutely right," Hassett said this morning when asked by CNBC if we should expect the Trump administration to continue taking partial ownership of U.S. businesses.
DeSantis fails again as Orlando defies him with new rainbow crosswalk (video)
Gov. Ron DeSantis just can't win. In fact, the Florida sad sack has struck out twice in one week, first with a judge's order to close down his flimsy "Alligator Alcatraz," and then with the resurrection of Orlando's rainbow crosswalk — which he thought he had erased.
Rich NY woman allegedly bites 7-year-old girl while trying to win a free T-shirt
A luxury real estate agent in Manhattan allegedly went ballistic over a free T-shirt Tuesday afternoon, attacking children and even biting a 7-year-old child in her fierce pursuit of the cheap giveaway. Gail Bomze, 75, was accused of kicking, punching, and pushing young children during a T-shirt toss at a family-"friendly" concert before chomping on a girl's right arm, leaving it "swollen" and "bloodied," according to the police report via The Independent.
Fascist tactic: Stephen Miller stands with National Guard as he calls D.C. protestors "crazy communists" (video)
Straight from the fascist playbook, Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller stood with National Guard troops — along with JD Vance and Pete Hegseth — at Washington D.C.'s Union Station this morning, bashing the nearby folks protesting Trump's police takeover as "crazy communists." "The voices you hear out there, those crazy communists, they have no roots, no connections…no jobs," the Trump henchman told reporters, using words similar to that of Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini during the early...
Yikes! Genius Kristi Noem thinks painting the border wall black will do the trick (video)
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem outdid herself in the moron department yesterday when asked by reporters why the United States was about to paint the border wall black. "It will make it even harder for people to climb," she said with a straight face, explaining that it will become too hot to handle.
Silly pup is startled when he notices his teeth for the first time (video)
A handsome golden retriever happens to check himself out, only to catch something in the mirror he hasn't seen before: a mouthful of teeth. And he becomes obsessed. In hilarious footage, the silly pup opens up wide as he examines his new findings. Not so sure about this new look, he then tries to change it up, shutting his mouth, before opening up wide once again.
Watch: Small plane crashes onto golf course in Sydney, Australia (video)
It was a beautiful Sunday on a golf course in Sydney when a small plane suddenly — and loudly — hit the green around 2:00 p.m over the weekend. Caught on video, a small private plane carrying a student and instructor crash-landed near two trees, losing pieces of the plane and causing bystanders to shout and run towards the accident. One man lost his hat, tripped, and rolled down a hill on his way to the scene.
Amusing: Golf ball outsmarts JD Vance on putting green (video)
A golf ball got the best of Vice President JD Vance as he tried but failed to putt it in its place. The battle of wills (or skills, as it were) occurred this week at his boss's Turnberry Golf Course in Scotland, where Vance hit the ball four times — even just inches away from the hole — but just couldn't get the little guy to submit. Vance eventually gave up, sheepishly grabbing the ball and turning his back to the camera.
2nd prisoner escapes while being escorted through Seattle-Tacoma Airport
If you're a prisoner looking for an escape route, just ask to be transported via Sea-Tac International Airport. Last night, a New Mexico man became the second prisoner this year to become a fugitive while being escorted through the Washington airport. Charged with second-degree robbery earlier this week, 20-year-old John Nino was being escorted through Sea-Tac when he somehow slipped away.
Teen influencer stranded in Antarctica after illegally flying plane — now owes $30,000
From The Independent: Authorities say Guo landed his small plane illegally in Chilean territory after providing false flight plan information, prompting an official investigation…. Prosecutors said he had been authorized to only fly over Punta Arenas, but that he kept going south, heading for Antarctica in his Cessna 182Q — a single-engine light aircraft known for its versatility. … [O]n Monday, a judge dropped the charges as part of an agreement with his lawyers and Chile's prosecutors.
If you want to stop a fascist takeover, we must act now: Here's how
We are only six months into Trump 2.0, and already the National Guard is controlling Washington D.C. But that's not all. Donald Trump plans to also target Manhattan, Chicago, Baltimore, and Oakland, according to the president himself. Because this is how fascism works, and once a democracy falls into the hands of a petty dictator, democratic collapse can happen in the blink of an eye. So what can citizens do now before it's too late?
'This will go further.' Trump says D.C. is just the start — NYC and Baltimore are next (video)
While announcing his federal takeover of Washington D.C., Donald Trump said this was just the beginning. "We have other cities that are very bad," he said at a press conference, telling reporters that New York City, Baltimore, and Oakland were next. "This will go further." (See video below, posted by Aaron Rupar.) In other words, we can soon expect to see the National Guard controlling major cities across the United States. It's already happening.
'It's official.' Trump takes over Washington D.C. like a true fascist (video)
Donald Trump has made it "official" — he's going to "take our capital back" by replacing the D.C. police with the National Guard. "This is Liberation Day in D.C. and we're going to take our capital back. We're taking it back…I'm officially invoking section 740 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act…and placing the D.C. Metropolitan police department under direct federal control," Trump announced this morning at a news conference.
ICE arrested MAGA-worshipping owner of "Trump Burger" in Texas — now faces deportation
If the Lebanese owner of Trump Burger thought his blatant support of Donald Trump would give him a free pass in Texas, he was sorely proven wrong when ICE arrested in May. The 28-year-old MAGA man was accused of immigration fraud and now faces deportation. Roland Mehrez Beainy did more than just name his small chain or restaurants after the felonious president — he also plastered large Trump-worshiping signs around his diners, one that read, "Trump was right about everything.
Watch: Fake nurse arrested after treating 4,486 patients at AdventHealth in Florida (video)
A 29-year-old Florida woman posed as a registered nurse for seven months and treated 4,486 patients in Flagler County before finally getting arrested on Tuesday. (See video below, posted by the New York Post.) Amber Bardisa, who was already working at AdventHealth as an "advanced nurse tech," had allegedly stolen the identity of a colleague — a registered nurse whose name was also Amber — to apply for the position in 2024.
Trump confirms he might take over the D.C. police (video)
Donald Trump told reporters today that he is thinking about taking control of Washington D.C.'s Metropolitan Police Department. "Are you considering taking over the D.C. police?" a reporter asked, referring to Trump's threat yesterday to "take Federal control of the City." "We're considering it, yeah," the mad king confirmed.
Bizarre: Trump seen "taking a little walk" on top of the White House roof (video)
In bizarre footage this morning, Donald Trump is seen shouting at the press while roaming around on the White House roof. And when asked why he is up there, he explains that he is "taking a little walk." Whatever else he is trying to say is difficult to to decipher, as the press are standing quite far away, shouting back from a sidewalk that borders the far end of the White House lawn.
Like an ICE agent, man sports a ski mask — then attacks New York subway crowd with mace
ICE agents aren't the only ones disguised in masks as they terrorize the public — eight people were maced on a Manhattan subway by a man sporting a camouflage ski mask. Four of the victims were hospitalized. The suspect — a man in his thirties — attacked a crowd of commuters inside a subway car at the 14th Street–Union Square subway station around 9:30 pm last night, according to NBC New York. He then fled the scene.
"Everybody is vulnerable": Your eroding rights at the border under Trump
This is the final part of our three-part series on protecting yourself at U.S. borders, based on our interview with ACLU attorney Nathan Freed Wessler, deputy director of the ACLU's Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project. In Part One, we covered your rights when CBP agents interrogate you. In Part Two, we explored how to protect your devices and digital life from border searches.
U.S. pilot ejects as $100 million F-35 fighter jet crashes — 2nd time this year
For the second time this year, a U.S. military pilot was forced to eject from a $100-million F-35 fighter jet before it crashed and caught fire. The U.S. Navy pilot safely landed in rural Fresno County, California around 6:30 p.m. last night not far from his plane, which could be seen on video spewing black smoke into the air. The pilot was rushed to the hospital, and — like the U.S. Air Force pilot who ejected from his F-35 fighter jet in Alaska last January — is expected to make a full recovery.
Entitled monkey breaks into screaming woman's hotel room and takes what it wants (video)
When you take tropical vacations, a common hotel warning is to "lock your door" to keep out would-be burglars — but not always the kind you might think. At least not for one traveler, who neglected to take the hotel's advice, only to let out a high-pitched scream as a surly monkey expertly opened her sliding door.
American fascism: ICE arrests U.S. citizen, then tells him to "shave your beard"
You know you've fallen into fascist territory when ICE agents arrest a U.S. citizen who has no criminal record and then tell him to shave his beard. Which is what happened to a 33-year-old Houston man whose looks got him arrested and detained. Miguel Ponce Jr, born in Texas, was on his way to work when Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agents pulled him over. Even after showing his valid ID and explaining that he was an American citizen with a clean record, he was hauled away.
As Trump tries to speak in Scotland, loud bagpipes comically steal the show (video)
The United States could learn a thing or two from the Scots on how to handle Donald Trump's long-winded gibberish, as captured this morning in a hilarious clip. All it takes is a set of bagpipes. While the MAGA president tried to make inarticulate remarks in front of one of his resorts on the west coast of Scotland, one nearby musician found a brilliant way to turn the noisy muck into noisy music. Nothing like a Celtic dirge to turn the day around.
Trump reveals why he and Epstein are no longer friends: "He did something inappropriate" (video)
Donald Trump opened up to describe Jeffrey Epstein's "inappropriate" behavior — the last straw that finally broke up his friendship with the sex-trafficking pedophile. "He did something that was inappropriate," the candid president told reporters from Scotland this morning, sounding more somber than usual. And although Trump at first said he wouldn't go into it, he then spilled the beans. "He hired help, and I said, 'Don't ever do that again,'" Trump revealed.
Republicans won't release Epstein files because Democrats didn't — but isn't that why they should? (video)
Congress was supposed to hold votes tomorrow, before their 5-week break — until the GOP heard that one of the votes was related to the Epstein Files. Uh-oh! That's when they suddenly dropped everything and took an earlier-than-scheduled vacation.
Trump says he will get drug companies to pay Americans who take their medicine (video)
Good news for anyone who needs medication! Donald Trump just promised to coerce drug companies into actually paying Americans who fulfill their prescriptions. "We're going to get the drug prices down by 1,000%, 600%, 500%, 1,500% — numbers that are not even thought to be achievable," the stable genius slurred, as if he himself had just been paid by said drug companies.
'The fear is real': How to protect your devices and digital life from U.S. border agents
This is Part Two of our three-part post on how U.S. citizens and green-card holders can protect themselves at the border, in which we interviewed deputy director of ACLU's Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project, Nathan Freed Wessler. In Part One, we covered the rights of U.S. citizens reentering the country, including advice on what to do if U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents decide to interrogate.

Donald Trump told reporters this morning that former presidents Barack Obama should face "severe consequences" for trying to "lead a coup" in 2016. "This is like, proof.
Hilarious chihuahua tiptoes in slo-mo to get what he wants (video)
A clever chihuahua really wanted to jump on a cat tree, but was told it was off limits for the doggos in the house. So the determined pooch went into stealth mode, tiptoeing towards the plush climber in slow motion, as if he were a member of the Impossible Missions Force. "He thinks if he moves slow enough, I can't see him," the caption of his TikTok video says. See who?
Trump tells Howard Stern he can have any woman he wants — then decides 12 is too young (audio)
During his friendship with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, Donald Trump admitted on the Howard Stern Show he had no age limit with women, before drawing the line at 12-year-old girls. "Do you think you could now be banging 24-year-olds?" Stern asked a then 60-year-old Trump in 2006 (the same year he cheated on Melania to snuggle with Stormy Daniels). "Oh, absolutely," Trump responded. "I'd have no trouble." "Do you have an age limit?" Stern's co-host, Robin Quivers, asked.
JD Vance explodes over Trump-Epstein revelation (looks like someone needs his couch!)
JD Vance blasted journalists for not asking about the Epstein files, saying they should be "ashamed" of themselves.
North Korea "proudly" opens mega resort — then immediately bans tourists after bad review
On July 1, North Korea's Kim Jong Un announced "the proud first step" towards expanding tourism when he opened a gargantuan beachside resort fit for 20,000 international visitors. But just two weeks later, the massive complex — which the dictator had called "one of the greatest successes this year" — successfully shut its doors to, er, international visitors.

Yikes! Trump is "surprised" that Powell runs Fed Reserve - forgets that he himself hired him (video)
Delusional Donald Trump said he was "surprised" that Jerome Powell was appointed as chair of the Federal Reserve — even though he himself appointed him. "He's a terrible Fed-Chair. I'm surprised he was appointed," the nearly 80-year-old president told reporters this morning, forgetting that Powell was his own pick. "I was surprised, frankly, that Biden put him in," Trump added, because blaming former President Joe Biden is now MAGA's go-to tactic when tackling any problem, big or small.
