The 2018 Society for Neuroscience conference included 22,726 scientific and 5965 nonscientific registrants. Of 12,825 presenting authors we cataloged, 63 presented more than once and one author’s origin could not be identified; our dataset included 12,761 unique presenting authors (Table 1). Presenting authors originated from 69 countries and 1208 different towns (Fig. 1).
