SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — Members of the Major Crimes Detectives with the Spokane County Sheriff's Office are investigating human remains found in the Swanson Lakes Wildlife Area in Spokane County. According to a press release shared by the sheriff's office, hikers found the remains on May 14. The hikers led deputies to their location, where they found a body in "various stages of decomposition." At this time, no identities have been connected with the remains, and there is no cause of death.
