Most people you talk to in Marion know about them but they might not know how they came to be. As the story goes, when it came time to paint the towers, someone with the Public Works Department said, 'let's have some fun and label one hot and one cold.

Tue, April 7, 2026 at 10:08 PM Bristol, TN City Council meeting on April 7, 2026 (WCYB Photo) Bristol, Tennessee City Council passed an ordinance on first reading 4-0 to rezone property off of King College Road to a planned residential district. Councilman Matt Slagle did not attend the meeting. Bristol, TN Mayor Vince Turner explains why he is in favor of the project, that could bring between 375-475 new homes to Bristol. "We need it in our area," said Turner.
