(WFSB) - The I-Team has confirmed the firm Grand River Solutions has been hired to investigate the resignation of former CSCU interim chancellor John Maduko and how the system responded to complaints. Maduko resigned days after a woman filed a sexual harassment complaint alleging he sent her inappropriate messages for nearly two years. The I-Team has learned another woman has come forward alleging Maduko sent her inappropriate messages as well.

FBI warns of World Cup scams targeting tickets, rentals and memorabilia

HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - The FBI is warning World Cup fans to watch out for scams targeting tickets, rental properties and memorabilia as the tournament begins. PJ O’Brien, special agent in charge of the FBI New Haven office, said scammers are taking advantage of fans traveling to the event. “We have seen scams pop up, primarily in rental properties, and then tickets and memorabilia,” O’Brien said. O’Brien said both property owners and renters can be scammed when it comes to rental properties.

I-Team: audit finds CSCU overuses paid administrative leave, some leaves last hundreds of days

(WFSB) - Hundreds of thousands of tax dollars are being spent on Connecticut State Colleges and Universities, CSCU, employees that are sitting at home. State auditors say the CSCU system has been excessively using paid administrative leave for at least 10 years. One employee currently being paid to be at home is Anwar Abu-Shayed. She’s the director of IT at CT State’s Three Rivers campus in Norwich. She has an annual salary of more than $91,000.
