Cat Cardenas is a freelance writer and photographer based in Austin, Texas. Born and raised in San Antonio, she is a bilingual journalist, second-generation Mexican-American.

During her time at The University of Texas, she was one of four students selected to report on the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
