Cathy Senecal has made a career in travel since stepping over a bound crocodile while on a Zaire River cruise in her 20s. For the next decade, she wrote travel and lifestyle for enRoute, Washington Post and many more outlets in North America and Australasia and authored a wildlife viewing guide. From 2001 to 2022, she led global travel media relations and content strategy teams to promote wildlife, cultural, northern and Indigenous experiences in Manitoba and Northwest Territories. She has walked with polar bears, swam with beluga whales, and built igloos with the Inuit under the northern lights.
