By Cathy Park For those with a high caffeine tolerance, Omake is a minimalist Studio City coffee shop serving a five-course coffee omakase. Courses include creations like coffee cherry granita with hibiscus, a black truffle iced latte, and laksa made with coffee noodles and coconut-macadamia milk. There's also a full coffee and matcha menu if you're just looking for the usual morning fix. We haven't been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists.

Options include whipped honey, matcha salt, crushed baklava, pistachio cream, spicy jam, and passionfruit purée. We haven't been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists.

Blue Ribbon Sushi is back in the Palisades, and it now also has a secret-ish omakase counter that has opened with it. The reopened Palisades Village spot has a refreshed dining room and expanded patio, but the biggest addition is Ueki, a 14-seat sushi counter that's in a corner of the dining room behind a curtain. It serves two omakase menus for $195 or $265 per person that includes 16 to 19 courses. We haven't been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists.
