After last weekend's home defense, the Ontario Jr. Reign hit the road to play three games in three days against the Fresno Monsters. Fresno had the Jr. Reign’s number, as the Monsters swept the series. These teams have a bit of history from last season, as the Jr. Reign defeated the Monsters to win the Pacific Division and advance to the National tournament. Game one was a 12-goal affair that saw Domenick McInenly in goal.

Before the Winter break the Ontario Jr. Reign traveled to Henderson, Nevada for the USPHL Las Vegas Showcase, which hosted teams from all over the country. The OJR had a successful road trip as they went on to win three of the four games against some tough opponents. The first match-up of the showcase was the undefeated Vernal Oilers from the Northwest Division. The Oilers were a perfect 24-0-0 entering the game, as well as being ranked first in the USPHL power rankings.

The Ontario Jr. Reign had a quick turnaround with consecutive home games, facing a rematch with the Lake Tahoe Lakers on Tuesday and then the Henderson Force on Saturday. Both games started slowly for the Jr. Reign, but the squad was able to settle in and win both games. Domenick McInenly filled the crease for Tuesday’s game against the Lakers, who have scored the most goals across the USPHL thus far, with 98.
