“Two Bills are better than one!” That’s the caption of the now-famous Instagram post of musician Bill Wilson and Bill Murray posing next to each other at the Commodore music venue in Charleston, South Carolina, back in March. Wilson—who’s known the famed actor for about six years now—was surprised to see him during his set. Murray, Wilson says, has been a fan since he released his first solo album Stand Up! in 2018 at age 76.

“I think that this band saved my musical life, and possibly my actual one,” Nate Fredrick says of his group the Wholesome Boys. Fredrick is calling from the band’s studio space in Nashville, where he spends most of his time between touring and the occasional trip to his native Springfield, Missouri. He learned to play guitar at 12, inspired by Van Morrison, Guy Clark, and Creedence Clearwater Revival, and in his early 20s started writing music.

Fulton Lee is Feeling ‘Alright’ Original

Fulton Lee has been releasing music since 2016, but it wasn’t until he posted a short video on social media in 2023 promoting his song “Alright” that he became a viral sensation. In it, Lee stands on a street corner holding a handwritten sign that says, “Stand here if you had a bad day,” with a white circle drawn on the pavement in front of him. A woman stops and stands in the designated area. Lee then pulls out an electric guitar and starts serenading her.
