DALE COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — The Dale County Commission Chairman has paid over $3,000 for missed Foreign Corrupt Practices Act deadlines, according to YellowHammer News. The Birmingham based news outlet reports that Chairman Steve McKinnon paid three months’ worth of penalties because of missed deadlines in 2023. McKinnon told YellowHammer News that his accountant and daughter, Courtney McKinney, was locked out of the account because it had been years since they had to pay campaign reports.
