What was your first job as a journalist?

My first job as a journalist was contributing short articles and feature pieces for a small local publication. It taught me the basics of deadlines, clarity, and finding the story in everyday events.

How is social media changing news?

Social media has changed news in three major ways. First, it has dramatically accelerated the speed of information, making real-time updates the norm. Second, it has shifted influence toward audiences—people can now shape narratives, amplify voices, and challenge traditional gatekeepers. And third, it has blurred the boundaries between verified journalism and unfiltered content. While this creates more accessibility and diverse viewpoints, it also increases the spread of misinformation and algorithm-driven polarization. The result is a news environment that is faster, more decentralized, and more complex than ever.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

Lois Lane from Superman — curious, fearless, and always chasing the truth.
