Humanized Digital Transformation Encourages Retention Among Your Finance Team
Employee retention has mattered more in the last two decades than ever before. Even before COVID-19 changed the way we work and communicate, the trend of digitization in finance already spurred into motion the need to attract and retain talent. However, what’s drastically changed since the start of the pandemic is that employees require even more digital innovation in their remote and hybrid workplaces than ever before.
Understanding the Luxury-Seeking Customer
The high-end customer segment is one of the fastest-growing components of today’s marketplace. According to a recent study by Technavio Research, the luxury goods market is predicted to grow $33 billion over the next five years. Even as the economy proclaims inflation, wealthy (and wannabe wealthy) consumers have shown little change in their preferences and purchases.
Escalation of Cybercrime-As-A-Service Has Major Ramifications Original
As technology evolves, so does cybercrime. In fact, most people do not realize that today’s cybercriminals leverage the same technologies, business models, and service offerings that ordinary, non-criminal enterprises use. Similar to the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model where consumers access software and services in exchange for a monthly or recurring fee, the market for cybercrime-as-a-service (CaaS) is rapidly expanding.

Finance teams are widespread, coming from different-sized companies across various industries, but the urgent priority is the same: implementing the right technology stack.
2021: Back to Business with Fintech Learnings from 2020
When prognosticating 2021, it’s useful to consider some of the technology and payments forecasts made about 2020. It’s pushed all business to act sooner because we suddenly needed these advancements more than ever.

2020: The Cloud Won -- Now What?
Chen Amit is the CEO and Co-Founder of Tipalti, the leading global payables automation platform. getty The cloud has won. There's no more denying it. Many of us in the software as a service (SaaS) industry knew this day would come, and perhaps even got a little frustrated when it didn't. But this is the year it's undisputed. How COVID-19 Is Making a Stronger Case for Automating Finance
The economic impact of COVID-19 is like nothing we’ve seen in recent memory, and many CEOs and CFOs are laser-focused on ensuring their financial houses are in order. Leveling The Playing Field For Midmarket Companies
We give attention to large enterprises like Amazon, Google, and Apple because our collective retirements and the forces of culture depend on them. And we pull for small businesses because, in our hearts, we want people who look like our neighbors to succeed. But there's a large population of companies that rarely get a lot of attention: midmarket/midsize companies. Yet making midmarket companies successful should be a significant focus for solution providers.
Lean Up: Bootstrapping Startup Scaling And Success
The term “lean in” has gotten plenty of attention in the last few years. But I wanted to talk about another way to lean: “lean up,” as in staying lean while your business scales to become something special. And, in all frankness, the best way to do this is to have the situation forced upon you. Our company didn’t get much venture capital (VC) attention in the early years. We were in a niche and unlikely to get a lot of attention.

Top tips on inspiring engagement and loyalty all year round
While the ten busiest ecommerce shopping days in 2018 all fell in the three weeks between Thanksgiving and December 17th, the sales opportunities outside of this period are vast. Too often, the focus lies on the seasonal peak, at expense of cultivating longer term customer relationships and driving revenue throughout the rest of the year. Not only are there multiple channels for marketers to communicate with their customers, but also endless occasions to capture their interest.
Going All-In on Crypto Cross-Border Payments—a Cautionary Tale | Payment Week
January 25, 2019 By: Chen Amit The 1960s were revolutionary. Beyond bell-bottoms and social upheaval, it was during this time that a new payment method was introduced to streamline the arcane processes for remittance. The automated clearing house (ACH) was introduced in 1968 as an idea for an electronic payment method, and by 1974, the National Automated Clearing House Association (NACHA) was formed. By 1978, the national network was operational and managed by the Federal Reserve.
Digital Economy: Four Partner Metrics That Define How Your Business Scales
In my last article, I discussed the important areas to consider when working with partners in a digital economy business model (e.g., gig economy, digital media, e-commerce, online marketplaces, etc.). So, how do you measure your partner program’s scalability as an organization? Before answering, let’s take a quick look at what a partner program in a digital economy might look like.
How to regain customer loyalty across multiple channels
Endless queues, stock shortages and unmasked frustration: this is a sight which has been all but erased by online shopping. Gone are the days when customers would have to worry about closing hours. Now, customers are only a click away from ordering a product at their own convenience. More shopping than ever is now conducted online, with figures from the British Retail Consortium indicating that almost a quarter of all non-food purchases now take place online.
How To Establish A Successful Partner Ecosystem In The Digital Economy
The success of the modern business is defined by scalability. After all, investors — whether they happen to be financially, tactically, or emotionally invested — tend to gauge the business on the ability to gain market share, grow and lead their markets, and to do so efficiently and rapidly. For many business models in the digital economy (e.g., the gig economy, digital media, e-commerce, online services and so on), success is not only about growing the customer base.
AI and Machine Learning Bias
Digital marketers have relied on data to provide targeted advertising for many years, but with the rise in artificial intelligence (AI) systems and an increased focus on how businesses are using data, machine-learning and algorithmic bias is becoming a significant issue in the digital marketing community. Earlier this year Twitter faced criticism for “shadow banning” – a practice whereby users tweets no longer appear in search results and as a result are effectively hidden from other users.
What’s holding you back from going global?
When you’re going for growth, international expansion should always be a critical part of your strategy. Selling overseas can bring new opportunities to increase revenues and can even extend the life cycle of your product or service.
Case study: SmartShoot’s financial transformation
