Transmission line bird hazard detection and tracking based on LBIT-YOLO
Abstract This paper proposes a lightweight detection-tracking integrated model LBIT-YOLO to solve the engineering problems in intelligent bird hazard monitoring for transmission lines. These problems include insufficient multi-category bird recognition, weak multi-target tracking, poor lightweight adaptability for edge devices, high false-triggering rate of bird repellent equipment and difficult field deployment.

Heterogeneous optically-detected spin-acoustic resonance in solid-state molecular thin-film
Abstract Molecular spin systems are promising building blocks for quantum sensing and information processing because their properties can be chemically tuned. Yet compact mechanical platforms for driving molecular spins at room temperature and without applied magnetic fields remain underexplored. Here we show spin-acoustic resonance in pentacene thin films integrated with a high-quality-factor surface acoustic wave resonator on lithium niobate.

Unraveling the metabolic pathways between atherosclerosis and sarcopenia
1 Introduction Sarcopenia and atherosclerosis are major drivers of morbidity and mortality in older adults. Traditionally, they have been studied in isolation, but a burgeoning body of evidence now positions them as manifestations of a shared systemic age-associated metabolic dysfunction (1).

Where does ISAC (immune-stimulating antibody conjugates) go from here?
Abstract Immune-stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs) have emerged as a promising class of therapeutics, employing design principles similar to antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) but replacing cytotoxic payloads with immune-stimulatory agents. These agents enhance immune system activation, enabling more effective tumor targeting and elimination. However, recent clinical setbacks since 2021 have raised concerns about ISACs’ viability as ADC successors.

miR-29a-3p/Vegfa axis modulates high phosphate-induced vascular smooth muscle cell calcification
Abstract Vascular calcification (VC) is a major contributor to the progression of cardiovascular disease (CVD). The VC is characterized by arterial stiffness and impaired blood flow. This pathology is especially prevalent in chronic kidney disease (CKD), where dysregulated mineral metabolism and elevated phosphate levels accelerate calcification of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs).

They are used in a wide range of applications, including translation, digital assistants, recommendation systems, context analysis, code generation, cybersecurity, and more. In automotive applications, there is growing demand for LLM-based solutions for both autonomous driving and in-cabin features.
Three-dimensional tissue platform co-laid with native collagen fibers and cells for phenotypic screening of stem cell interactions
Abstract Phenotypic screening of cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions is critical yet challenging for drug discovery and disease modeling. In this study, a scalable 3D tissue platform was developed by co-laying extracted natural insoluble collagen fibers, mesenchymal stem cells, endothelial cells, and neural progenitor cells for phenotypic screening. Cell growth and interactions were enhanced in the co-laid platform, evident through increased cell proliferation, viability, and vascularization.

Selective and stable visible-light-prompted scavenger-free photoelectrochemical strategy based on a ternary ErVO4/P@g-C3N4/SnS2 nanocomposite for the detection of lead ions in different water samples
In recent years, there has been a surge in concerns regarding heavy metal ion pollution in aquatic environments owing to the persistent nature of these toxic ions, their detrimental effects, and tendency to accumulate within living organisms (Zhu et al., 2018). Lead ion (Pb2+) contamination has detrimental effects on fetal development, affecting multiple aspects, and potentially resulting in severe brain and kidney damage and, in some cases, even mortality (Chen et al., 2020; Zhang et al., 2020).

Enhanced multi view 3D reconstruction with improved MVSNet - Scientific Reports
Abstract Although 3D reconstruction has been widely used in many fields as a key component of environment perception, existing technologies still have the potential for further improvement in 3D scene reconstruction. We propose an improved reconstruction algorithm based on the MVSNet network architecture. To glean richer pixel details from images, we suggest deploying a DE module integrated with a residual framework, which supplants the prevailing feature extraction mechanism.

Single nuclei transcriptomics of human and monkey striatum implicates DNA damage and neuroinflammation in opioid use disorder
Abstract The striatum in the brain is involved in various behavioral functions, including reward, and disease processes, such as opioid use disorder (OUD). Further understanding of the role of striatal subregions in reward behaviors and their potential associations with OUD requires molecular identification of specific striatal cell types in human brain.
