An optical fiber sensor based on a pair of core-offset dual-sphere (CODS) structures is proposed and fabricated for dual-parameter measurement of temperature and strain. Based on a configuration where a few-mode fiber (FMF) is sandwiched between two single-mode fibers (SMFs), the proposed sensor incorporates core-offset and dual-sphere features.
