Gov. Kathy Hochul signed off on the state budget Thursday. However, it rolls back New York’s landmark climate law. The 2019 Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act was set to cut 40% of greenhouse gases from New York state by 2030. Under the new state budget, that target is now 60% by 2040. Climate experts are discussing the impact this will have on New Yorkers.
