Li+(ionophore) nanoclusters engineered aqueous/non-aqueous biphasic electrolyte solutions for high-potential lithium-based batteries - Nature Nanotechnology
Abstract The use of aqueous/non-aqueous biphasic electrolyte solutions in Li-based battery systems circumvents the limitations of poor reductive stability of aqueous electrolyte solutions, broadening their electrochemical stability window. However, aqueous/non-aqueous electrolytes suffer from biphasic mixing and high impedance when Li ions cross the biphasic interface.

Controlling Intermolecular Interaction and Interphase Chemistry Enabled Sustainable Water‐tolerance LiMn2O4||Li4Ti5O12 Batteries
Abstract LiTFSI-TMP-H2O electrolytes with an expanded electrochemical stable window of 3.7 V are rationally designed by controlling intermolecular interaction and interphase chemistry. Benefiting from reduced H2O activity and reinforced solid electrolyte interphase, the assembled water-tolerance LiMn2O4||Li4Ti5O12 full cell with a limited P/N ratio of 1.14 can achieve a long cycling life with high coulombic efficiency.
