Investing in Kansas’ public safety doesn’t cost — it pays us back | Opinion Original
The Kansas Statewide Interoperable Communication System is essential to our first responders, and maintaining it is conservative. Public safety is one of the most fundamental responsibilities of government. Kansans expect — and deserve — that when they call for help, the men and women responding can communicate clearly, reliably and without interruption. That expectation is not partisan. It is a basic duty we owe to residents of our state and to those who protect them every day.
The Primitives’ Tracy Tracy on rubbing elbows with Morrissey and Björk: ‘If I didn’t get into singing, I’d probably have gone into fashion’
When one thinks of The Primitives, what comes to mind are the opening chords of Crash, one of the most infectious pop songs of the 1980s. In Spain, the song inserted itself into a much later generation, due to a version recorded by El Canto del Loco in 2002. “From what I can remember of it, it was good, yeah,” recalls the group’s frontwoman Tracy Tracy (real name: Tracy Louise Cattell).

2 new tools will protect Kansas schools from tragedy of gun violence Original
As a father, veteran and Kansas House majority leader, nothing matters more to me than keeping Kansas families safe - especially our kids. When I'm out knocking doors in my district or talking with folks across the state, I hear the same question frequently: How do we make sure our schools are secure? It's a tough question, but House Republicans are answering it with real solutions.

Using AI in Project Management
AI is now freely available, and everyone is thinking about how to use it, but in most organisations, its use is still very patchy. This article will explore how to begin to implement AI in your project management planning and control, starting from a position of zero knowledge or experience. If we simplify the project management process into twelve steps, we can then look at how AI might be helpful (or not) for each of the steps.
Managing Remote or Distributed Project Management Teams
This article will show that there are nine (3x3) management styles for a project manager with a remote team and will look at how four of them are never an excellent choice, and then how to choose the most suitable one from the five that are applicable for several types of project team.
This top-ranking Republican says Gov. Kelly wouldn't meet in the middle for tax relief
I’ve had the incredible opportunity to travel across our great state and visit with Kansans from all walks of life about the issues that are most important to them. From Overland Park to Elkhart, I hear a common theme: Their property taxes are rising with no end in sight, they’re tired of paying taxes on retirement benefits, and they feel the state is taxing too much of their income.
Kansas and KCI Airport are on a flight path to the future. New rule would cut them out Original
Since its creation by Congress in 1986, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority has overseen air travel in Washington, D.C., maintaining an operational balance between Reagan National Airport and Dulles International Airport. By using rules and regulations such as the perimeter rule that limits nonstop flights to Reagan to 1,250 or fewer miles from the city, smaller airports within that limit have preserved access to Washington.
Joe Biden and his administration have much to answer for in botched exit from Afghanistan
For 20 years, our military forces fought valiantly in Afghanistan to keep our homeland safe and afford the Afghan people a chance to control their own future, free from oppression. I’m keenly aware of the challenges faced and sacrifices made by our service members and their families, as I served for 30 years in the military, deployed to Iraq twice, celebrated victories and shared in the loses that come with war.
