The theatre career of María Amenábar Farias, M.F.A. ’23, may have just begun, but a creative young alum is just what Robert Quinlan, M.F.A. ’09, was looking for to energize this summer’s Illinois Shakespeare Festival (ISF). Amenábar Farias will direct William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, which will headline the season alongside The Two Gentlemen of Verona and Thornton Wilder’s Our Town. ISF performances run June 25-August 1.
