Halifax police are investigating a shooting that took place in Williamswood on Thursday night. At roughly 10:40 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting on Old Sambro Road where officers found a home that had been struck. Police said there were no reported physical injuries, adding a male suspect, dressed in dark clothing fled the area in a dark colored four door sedan or small SUV.

One man is dead and another is missing following a fatal boating incident in Kings County on Wednesday. At roughly 4:45 p.m., emergency crews along with the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre reponded to a report that people were ejected from a boat on Aylesford Lake. Mounties said five men were on the boat when two passengers were thrown from the vessel as surface conditions of the water changed.

Nova Scotia diesel prices to change due to interrupter

The price of diesel in Nova Scotia will change overnight as an interrupter is in effect. The Nova Scotia Energy Board announced on Tuesday it will be invoking its interrupter clause due to a significant shift in the market price for diesel oil. The board said the price of gas will not be impacted. Currently, Nova Scotians are paying 168.9 for regular self-serve gasoline and 185.4 for diesel.
