OTTAWA - Mexico's Foreign Affairs Minister Roberto Velasco Alvarez says his government will engage in trilateral talks with the U.S. and Canada on the continental trade pact when "it's appropriate." The Trump administration opted not to renew the Canada-U.S.-Mexico Agreement on trade, better known as CUSMA, at the start of July. That triggered rolling annual reviews for up to a decade, at which point the agreement will expire if the partners can't agree on an extension.

Police asking public to look out for this Halifax man
RCMP are asking members of the public to keep an eye out for a 51-year-old man who is wanted by police. In a press release, Halifax Mounties said they are looking for information on the whereabouts of Robert MacDonald, who is wanted across the province. The accused is facing charges of failing to comply with an undertaking and failing to comply with a release order. He is 5'7″, about 150 pounds and has brown hair and a greying beard.
Out-of-control wildfire northeast of Halifax grows significantly overnight
HALIFAX - Nova Scotia's Department of Natural Resources says a wildfire that prompted an evacuation order northeast of Halifax has grown to 17 square kilometres. The evacuation order affecting an estimated 100 to 150 people near Mooseland Road was issued Thursday night by Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency. At that time, the fire was estimate to be about three square kilometres in size.
North Preston has one of the world's best dancers
Elayce Clayton got off the plane from Dublin, Ireland and was greeted by dozens of people from her community of North Preston.
