Pythagorean Astronomy: The Martian Triple
Artist’s impression of Perseverance rover and the Ingenuity helicopter Over the course of the next month, we’ll see the arrival at Mars of not one, not two, but three spacecraft: Nasa’s Perseverance Rover, with its little helicopter Ingenuity; the Chinese Space Agency’s Tianwen-1 mission, which comprises an orbiting spacecraft, a landing platform and a rover; and the UAE’s Hope mission, which is an orbiting spacecraft.

Could we get rid of leap years?
It probably didn’t escape your notice that yesterday was 29th February – a date that comes round but once every 4 years. The reason for having leap years is explained in detail by Phil Plait on his Bad Astronomy blog (which is actually quite good). It’s essentially because the Earth’s rotation and the Earth’s orbit around the Sun aren’t quite in sync. Although a year is usually 365 days long, the Earth actually takes around 365.25 to get to the same place in space around its orbit.
Are You a Value-Adding Flooring Installation Contractor?
In today’s high-pressure construction climate, where there is a premium on completing projects on time and on budget, value-adding flooring installation contractors are in high demand. These contractors create additional value by taking the services they provide to their customers to a higher level than their peers. A hallmark of these installation contractors is good decision making, the result of years of experience learning from the right and wrong choices they have made.

UX and the regulators - designing compliance
Recent regulatory actions in the UK have made it clear that online gambling operators are under ever greater pressure over how they market their products. Investigations on the part of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) demonstrate the degree of scrutiny that exists at a high level.

Get ready for the biggest 'supermoon' in more than six decades
The biggest “supermoon” since 1948 will grace the sky on November 14. But what makes it so super? Well, not much more than the fact that it’ll be a bit bigger than normal, but that’s absolutely no reason not to go outside and look at it anyway. If you miss it, you’ll have to wait to around November 25, 2034 for another chance. The occurrence of a supermoon, or to give it its proper name, a “super perigee full moon”, is not particularly uncommon.

[1608.06001] Beckett-Gray Codes
Abstract: In this paper we discuss a natural mathematical structure that is derived from Samuel Beckett's play "Quad". This structure is called a binary Beckett-Gray code. Our goal is to formalize the definition of a binary Beckett-Gray code and to present the work done to date.
