A popular restaurant chain has opened a new location in a growing suburban area near Columbia. Waffle House, which has locations in numerous states, recently opened a new restaurant at 151 Blanche Circle in Irmo. That’s just off Dutch Fork Road, behind a Whataburger restaurant. While Waffle House locations are well-known for being open 24 hours a day, the new location in Irmo is, for the moment, open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, according to a sign in front of the restaurant on Monday morning.

A national coffee company that is quickly gaining a foothold in the Midlands has opened a new Columbia location. Dutch Bros Coffee, which has locations across the nation, has opened the doors at a new spot at 7001 Garners Ferry Road in Columbia, just south of the Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
