PEORIA, ILL (WMBD) — A partial lunar eclipse will turn the Moon “Blood Red” Thursday night and early Friday morning. It will be the only partial lunar eclipse that will be visible in the United States until January 11th-12th, 2028, though a Penumbral Eclipse will happen in February 2027. On Thursday night the Moon will pass through Earth’s shadow causing the surface to turn a rust red color, some would say “Blood Red”.
