(KABC) -- The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in locating a missing Northern California man. Detectives from the Sheriff's Department Missing Persons Detail are seeking assistance in locating Echeverria. He is described as five foot six inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

The woman, who was sunbathing in the sand, was struck by the patrol vehicle and suffered serious injuries. In 2017, another beachgoer was run over by officers in a department patrol car.

MALIBU, Calif. (KABC) -- Actor Michael Madsen is facing two misdemeanor counts of driving under influence following an arrest back in late March. The 61-year-old actor, suspected of DUI, was arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department after he crashed his SUV in Malibu. On Tuesday, the L.A. County District Attorney's office filed two counts of driving under the influence against the actor.
