More summer fun! Here’s how to make your own kinetic sand at home By WNYT Education strategist Katie Fleming is here once again to make sure kids have fun and creative ways to enjoy these last few weeks of summer. On this Global Kinetic Sand Day and National Play in the Sand Day, she’s showing you how to make your own kinetic sand for your kids to play with at home!

After a fairly gorgeous Saturday with mixed sun and clouds and highs topping out near 80 for many, clouds will be on the increase heading into and through the overnight tonight ahead of out next system set to move through the region tomorrow and linger into the upcoming work week. A few showers possible during the overnight with lows falling back into the upper 50s to lower 60s. Sunday more widespread shower and storm chances return to the forecast.
