AMC revamps Pensacola theater with IMAX, Dolby Cinema still to come

Pensacola’s AMC Bayou 15 theater just got some significant upgrades, and now residents can enjoy some of the summer’s biggest releases in true IMAX with laser-sharp fidelity. AMC Theatres filed permits to upgrade its main Pensacola auditorium, located at 5149 Bayou Blvd., toward the end of last year. Details in the permit indicated that AMC planned to add new screens, projectors and recliner chairs, in addition to some interior remodeling work.
