What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Otter.ai, Google Docs and Grammarly are my lifesaving devices in this industry.
Who do you wish followed you?
People who love gaming and actually want to learn, not just engage in cultural discourse.
Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist in order to not only keep learning myself about all the fascinating news and views in the world and to share it.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I did a lengthy profile of Twitch streamers who used Fortnite to evangelize. A weird tale but one I spent so much time on.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Be ready for a struggle. If you truly love this field, be ready to fight for it and make yourself iconic. The field is changing so much.

Dicebreaker for board game news, Ars Technica for technology, RNS for Religion and Politico for politics.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That technology is boring or only for executives. Tech affects us all in the weirdest ways and we need to understand it.
