What was your first job as a journalist?
Broadcast Journalist, United States Army. Assigned to Armed Forces Korea Network, Seoul, South Korea. Radio anchor, tv reporter and anchor.
How is social media changing news?
It gives people a voice, but it also gives activists and extremists a platform to manipulate public opinion.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I am generally proud of all my work, especially at CNN International, where we covered events from 9/11 to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Outdoors, in the kitchen, reading or watching tv.
