Ground has been broken on a Chick-fil-A restaurant at 65 Mount Auburn Av. in Auburn, pictured Monday. (Matthew Jaroncyk/Staff Writer) AUBURN — Fencing is up, and the construction trailer is in place, as national chicken chain Chick-fil-A has begun construction of a stand-alone location at 65 Mount Auburn Ave. The 5,200-square-foot store is located adjacent to Hobby Lobby and will feature a drive-thru.

China Wok restaurant at 730 Center St. in the Auburn Plaza is pictured June 30 after a grease fire forced the closure of the eatery. The restaurant remains closed after it was declared an imminent health hazard. Exterior renovation work unrelated to the fire was underway when the incident occurred.

How is social media changing news?

It gives people a voice, but it also gives activists and extremists a platform to manipulate public opinion.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I am generally proud of all my work, especially at CNN International, where we covered events from 9/11 to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
