In remarks at the Oceantic 2024 International Partnering Forum in New Orleans, Interior Secretary Deb Haaland announced a new five-year schedule to lease federal offshore tracts for wind energy production. Haaland said the prospective sales, which will be overseen by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, will include leases in the Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico, Pacific, and the waters off US territories.
