OTTAWA — The Ottawa Senators will be without top defenceman Jake Sanderson when they face elimination from the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday. Sens head coach Travis Green confirmed Friday that Sanderson suffered a concussion during Thursday night’s 2-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. “He’s not doing very well. Won’t play tomorrow,” Green told the media. Hurricanes forward Taylor Hall hit Sanderson in the head in the second period and was given a minor penalty.

OTTAWA – Just three games into the Senators 2025-26 season, the team is preparing to be without captain Brady Tkachuk for a significant amount of time. Senators head coach Travis Green said Tuesday that Tkachuk will miss at least four weeks, and possibly longer, as the team is still assessing the extent of the left winger’s injury. The team’s medical staff is exploring the possibility of surgery.
