Data centers can’t be stopped, but good policy is needed, NDSU researcher says
FARGO — There’s no way of stopping the development of data centers and artificial intelligence, a North Dakota State University researcher said Wednesday, adding that attempts to slow development would only push it to other areas. “It’s important to understand that AI is coming. Idaho Republicans hold fundraising lead in statewide races
All Republican statewide candidates running for re-election in November’s general election hold a fundraising lead over their challengers, online state campaign finance reports show. Incumbent GOP Gov. Brad Little has raised the most campaign money of any statewide candidate in 2026. Through Wednesday afternoon, Little reported raising just more than $2.3 million in campaign contributions in 2026. No other candidate for statewide office has raised even close to $1 million.
HJR 4 would give Legislature sole authority to legalize marijuana, other drugs
Idahoans voting in November’s general election will decide whether to give the Idaho Legislature the sole power to regulate marijuana and other drugs — and eliminate their right to bring a citizen-led ballot initiative to do so. Currently, there are two ways in Idaho that marijuana, medical cannabis or other drugs can be legalized and regulated. First, the Idaho Legislature could pass a law to legalize it. Second, Idaho voters could legalize it by passing a ballot initiative.
