Existential and Phenomenological Horror in Les Diaboliques
Les Diaboliques (Henri-George Clouzot, 1955) is rightly celebrated in horror studies as a turning point for the horror film as a formative paranoid-psychological horror film that shifted the locus of horror away from the dominant externalist threats such as monsters and alien invaders in the 1950s (Hayward, 2005, pp. 41–42; Jancovich, 2011, p. 1; Kapsis, 1992, p. 57; Derry, 2009, p. 26; Tudor, 1988; Jancovich, 1992, 1996; Meehan, 2011; Hantke, 2018).
Pasztety, do boju!
Przezabawna powieść drogi o dojrzewaniu i akceptacji siebie. Francuska Młodzieżowa Książka Roku 2015. Odkąd w facebookowym głosowaniu przyznano im tytuły Złotego, Srebrnego i Brązowego Paszteta, Mireille, Astrid i Hakima są oficjalnie najbrzydszymi dziewczynami w szkole.
IN PARIS WITH YOU
British actor Ellie Heydon narrates this French romance with the knowing tone of an omniscient narrator. It's a short and sweet crossover between contemporary new adult and young adult fiction. Listeners will have to adjust to a narrator with an English accent performing a story set in Paris, but Heydon's pronunciation of French words is impeccable.

In Paris With You
Eugene and Tatiana could have fallen in love, if things had gone differently. If they had tried to really know each other, if it had just been them, and not the others. But that was years ago and time has found them far apart, leading separate lives. Until they meet again in Paris. What really happened back then? And now? Could they ever be together again after everything?
The class book review: In Paris With You
A love story set in Paris about two twentysomethings who meet again by chance having not seen each for 10 years is not the type of novel I would normally read. After only a few pages, I was reminded why. Told in a mixture of free verse and rhyme, the novel gives the reader an insight into the past and present lives of its two central characters, Eugene and Tatiana. When she was 14, Tatiana was besotted with Eugene, but he rejected her.
A traditional tale with titillating twists: Beauty and the Beast gets reinvented (again)
In Jeanette Winterson’s Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit (1985), the young female narrator stumbles upon a book of fairy tales and recoils at the story of Beauty and the Beast, musing: The narrator’s literal reading hints at the most obvious interpretation of the fairy tale, which sees a comeback this month in Disney’s live action remake of the classic 1991 animated Oscar-winning film starring Harry Potter star Emma Watson.
