TOLLIP targets GSDME-NT-carrying endocytic vesicles for autophagy to regulate pyroptosis and chemotherapy efficacy - Nature Cell Biology
Abstract Whether pyroptosis is controllable and reversible remains an enigma. Here we revealed that autophagy could eliminate the pore-formed N terminus of GSDME (GSDME-NT) located on membranes at different locations, suppressing pyroptosis. Crucially, GSDME-NT on the plasma membrane was eliminated through endocytic internalization, where GSDME-NT-laden vesicles were targeted and degraded as intact units.

Acute Myeloid Leukemia With Extramedullary Infiltration‐Gastric Myeloid Sarcoma: A Case Report and Literature Review
1 Introduction Myeloid sarcoma (MS) is a solid tumor formed by extramedullary infiltration of hematopoietic blasts and recognized as a distinct entity under acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and related myeloid neoplasms in the 2008 World Health Organization classification [1]. MS is often closely related to AML and occurs in approximately 2%–9% of AMLs [2]. The incidence of MS in children (30%) is higher than in adults (2%–5%) [3].

HO-1 impairs the efficacy of radiotherapy by redistributing cGAS and STING in tumors
Abstract Type I IFNs (IFN-Is) induced by radiotherapy (RT) are critical for its efficacy, while the mechanism by which tumor cells inhibit IFN-I production remains largely unsolved. By an unbiased CRISPR screen, we identified hemeoxygenase 1 (HO-1) as an RT-related regulator of IFN-I production.

2024 | Buch This book systematically summarizes the development process of thermal spraying technology, and elaborates on preparation, characterization, and testing methods of plasma spraying layers. Plasma spraying is a useful technology for remanufacturing. The life evaluation of remanufacturing product by using plasma spraying can be predigested to the life evaluation of surface plasma sprayed coating.
Exceptional Nexus in Bose-Einstein Condensates with Collective Dissipation
Abstract In multistate non-Hermitian systems, higher-order exceptional points and exotic phenomena with no analogues in two-level systems arise. A paradigm is the exceptional nexus (EX), a third-order EP as the cusp singularity of exceptional arcs (EAs), that has a hybrid topological nature. Using atomic Bose-Einstein condensates to implement a dissipative three-state system, we experimentally realize an EX within a two-parameter space, despite the absence of symmetry.

Ferritinophagy‐mediated ferroptosis facilitates methotrexate‐induced hepatotoxicity by high‐mobility group box 1 (HMGB1)
Background and Aim Hepatotoxicity is a well-defined reaction to methotrexate (MTX), a drug commonly used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and various tumours. We sought to elucidate the mechanism underlying MTX-induced hepatotoxicity and establish a potentially effective intervention strategy. Methods We administered MTX to liver cells and mice and assessed hepatotoxicity by cell viability assay and hepatic pathological changes.

Influences of Microwave Irradiation on Rock-Breaking Efficiency of a Reduced-Scale TBM Cutter
1. Introduction Tunnel boring machines (TBMs) are efficient, safe machines used for constructing tunnels and are widely used in engineering practice, including the excavation of rock tunnels and underground passages [1]. Cutters, as the teeth of a TBM to excavate soil, play a key role in breaking rocks. However, the wear of the cutter has become a key factor that limits the progress of construction under complex strata conditions, taking extremely hard rocks, for example [2,3].
Machine learning the peak emission wavelength of Mn4+-activated inorganic phosphor
Machine learning the peak emission wavelength of Mn4+-activated inorganic phosphor Cong Ding, Zhongfa Li, Wenjun Zhang, Jun Ou, Wen Xue, chengyue xin and Min Su Abstract The optical properties of Mn4+-activated phosphors are heavily affected by the host and the related data are difficult to obtain, which makes quantitative design of novel phosphors with required wavelength particularly challenging. In the era of big data, computation is emerging as a vital complement to material development.
A Hybrid Genetic Algorithm Based on Imitation Learning for the Airport Gate Assignment Problem
Abstract : Airport gates are the main places for aircraft to receive ground services. With the increased number of flights, limited gate resources near to the terminal make the gate assignment work more complex. Traditional solution methods based on mathematical programming models and iterative algorithms are usually used to solve these static situations, lacking learning and real-time decision-making abilities.
