On Nov. 17, former Arizona representative and Turning Point Action (TPAction) employee Austin Cole Smith pleaded guilty to criminal charges after he forged signatures in his bid for reelection last year. According to the plea agreement, Smith pleaded guilty to one count of Attempted Fraudulent Schemes and Practices, a Class 6 Undesignated Offense, and one count of Illegal Signing of Election Petitions, a Class 1 Misdemeanor.
