HAMMOND, Ind. — Drivers are facing some backups on Tuesday morning after a shooting investigation shut down a portion of I-80/94 in northwest Indiana. According to the Indiana State Police, troopers are investigating a shooting and crash that unfolded along the eastbound lanes of I-80/94, near Calumet Avenue, in Hammond. While details surrounding the incident are currently unclear, troopers said a victim crashed into a semi as a result of the shooting.

Car crashes into Far South Side home Original

CHICAGO — Emergency crews were called to the scene after a car crashed into a home on the city’s Far South Side overnight. The crash unfolded near the intersection of West 94th Street and South Lafayette Avenue in Roseland. While details surrounding the crash are currently unclear, SkyCam 9 was over the scene around 6:50 a.m. when the black SUV could be seen resting on the front lawn of the home, which appeared to have been damaged.

Crews extinguish large car fire on outbound Edens Original

CHICAGO — Fire crews are working on a large car fire Friday morning on the outbound Edens. SkyCam9 saw the car fire, on the outbound Edens near Petersen, at around 7:58 a.m. Two minutes later, it was fully engulfed. Large flames and smoke were coming out of the vehicle. It’s not clear what led up to the fire at this point. SkyCam9 spotted several people who appeared to be able to get out and they were standing a distance away.
