A Hamilton family who experienced the devastating loss of their daughter have donated a special privacy pram to University Hospital Wishaw. Laura Finlay and her partner, Barry Gordon, purchased the first privacy pram for use within the hospital following the stillbirth of their daughter, Rhylie, at 36 weeks on 15 January 2025. The couple hope the pram will support other parents facing similar heartbreak.

A project to transform health and care services for people living with multiple long-term conditions has secured a further five years of funding – taking the total investment to more than £6 million. The SEISMIC SHIFT (Systemic Health Innovation Future Transformation) programme is one of three that have received renewed support from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
