Large-scale point cloud registration of airborne light detection and ranging (LiDAR) strips provides high-precision 3D data for subsequent surface applications. However, most airborne LiDAR strip registration algorithms have the limitations of high memory demand and long computational time when dealing with massive point clouds. We propose an efficient robust registration strategy for airborne LiDAR strip point clouds.
