Many of us may remember going on a school sanctioned summer field trip when we were kids. I am making this reference because my scheduled return flight from D.C. back home (Chicago) this summer was cancelled, but my go-to airline came through and put me on an earlier flight. I quickly scrambled to the Reagan airport. What I didn’t expect was walking up to the gate area to see a large gaggle of young grammar school students.

Greetings to our loyal Supply House Times audience. While I haven’t appeared on these pages very often throughout the years, I was honored that our Chief Editor, Natalie Forster, asked me to “pen a column” while she was out on maternity leave. Congratulations to Natalie and her husband on the birth of their beautiful baby girl — Andi! As part of the plumbing industry since the late 80’s, I have seen a lot of changes. But one consistency is the people and the welcoming nature of the industry.
