Ohio State’s third official visit weekend of the summer is bringing plenty of star power to Columbus. As with the last two weekends, Ohio State won’t host a large group of uncommitted prospects, hosting just four players who aren’t already committed to the Buckeyes. But their emphasis on quality over quantity with this year’s official visits is apparent once again as Ohio State welcomes a group that includes two of the top eight prospects in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2027 class.

Top Cornerback Target Monsanna Torbert Jr. “Very Excited” for Ohio State Official Visit This Weekend

Torbert’s official visit to Ohio State will formally begin Friday, but the four-star cornerback from Cincinnati was already on campus Thursday for Ohio State’s third high school football camp of the week. While Torbert didn’t work out in the camp himself, he was there to watch his younger brother Sean Torbert, a defensive back in the 2028 recruiting class who also holds an offer from the Buckeyes.

Five-Star Defensive Line Commit Jameer Whyce Already Developing with Larry Johnson As He Seeks to Make Immediate Impact for Ohio State in 2028

Since Whyce’s commitment to Ohio State in October, his conversations with the Buckeyes’ defensive line coach have focused primarily on one thing: What the five-star defensive tackle can do to continue developing as a defensive lineman. “Every time I talk to Coach Johnson, I ask him, what's something you think I can work on or I should work on or I can improve on?” Whyce said after participating in the Under Armour Next camp in Pickerington last month.
