TATUM, Texas — Cooper Whiteus has effortlessly navigated what's been sort of a topsy-turvy year for him personally, now hoping to lead Tatum basketball back to the state championship after he wasn't even sure he'd be donning the green and white at the beginning of the school year. "That guy, I mean, he can score. He's averaging 23 points a game, and even when guys try to face guard him, he's still scoring, keeping those numbers up," said Eagles Head Basketball Coach Jayme Bradley.
