Dan Weberg

Dr. Dan Weberg is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and an expert in nursing, healthcare innovation, and complex systems leadership. He has extensive clinical experience in emergency departments, acute in-patient hospital settings, and academia. Dan supports Kaiser Permanente as the Executive Director of Nursing Workforce Development and Innovation building nursing workforce planning, a system-level new grad residency program, and other system-level nursing workforce initiatives.

The health care system is in a paradigm shift as it emerges from the global pandemic. The financial, workforce, and technology that supported care in years past are transforming, and this liminal season is the perfect time for experimentation and risk-taking. As previous structures and ways of working are crumbling, increasing labor expenses from contingent labor, and the entry of big technology companies such as Amazon as competition to existing health systems.
