I take at least 10 long-haul flights a year, and my skin never lets me forget it. By hour four, I’m already spotting dry patches. By hour eight, my cheeks feel tight and dull. My lips? Chapped before we even hit cruising altitude. The culprit is simple: plane cabins have almost no moisture to begin with. Then the air gets compressed and recirculated, leaving even less for your skin to work with. Drinking water helps, but it doesn’t reach your skin barrier quickly enough to make a difference mid-flight.
