In one of its final rulings of the term, the court blocked President Trump’s attempt to limit birthright citizenship in Trump v. Barbara, rejecting the administration’s effort to narrow who is a U.S. citizen. The court also ruled against him in Learning Resources v. Trump, finding he exceeded his executive power by imposing tariffs. Trump argues he was protected under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. Even with these losses, the president still won them over in Trump v.

The Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee has voted in favor of two controversial peptides so far, with five more to go. Still, questions are being raised about whether committee members are recommending them based on financial interest. Peptides are not new and are commonly found in weight-loss drugs and insulin. More than 170 of them are in active development, but many new peptides entering the market have few human trials associated with them.

The bipartisan INSULIN Act of 2026 would cap monthly insulin costs at $35 for people with private insurance and create a pilot program for the uninsured to receive similar benefits. The bill was introduced by Sens. Jeanne Shaheen, Susan Collins, Raphael Warnock and John Kennedy. For the 40 million Americans living with diabetes, the bill could ease a significant financial burden, especially for the 1 million who ration insulin because of its cost.
